Halal w naszej kulturze znany jest jako sposób odżywiania się muzułmanów. Jednakże Halal znacznie wykracza poza granice gastronomiczne. Halal is an Arabic word meaning lawful or permitted. In reference to food, it is the dietary standard, as prescribed in the Qur’an. The opposite of Halal is Haram, which means unlawful or prohibited. Halal and Haram are universal terms that apply to all facets of life. These terms are commonly used in relation to food products and ingredients, meat products, cosmetics, personal care products, pharmaceuticals and food contact materials.

Le Halal est étymologiquement le licite et tout ce que Dieu a permis à l’homme de faire, dire, consommer. Ainsi pour connaître le Halal, il faut se référer aux enseignements du Créateur. Mais avant de chercher à connaitre ces préceptes, il est important de comprendre le sens des enseignements divins endogènes au Halal.
